The AIM – Dr. Andrew L. Tan Center for Tourism has realigned its programming to focus on what truly matters. The four new strategic directions are as follows:
EVENTS AND NETWORKING
The Center aims to convene conferences, fora, lectures, and other forms of information exchange at the local, regional, national, and international levels to retrieve data and generate responses from tourism stakeholders.
RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS
The Center seeks to undertake interdisciplinary research in tourism and disseminate findings to the academic, governmental, and private sector communities.
The Center aims to provide relevant courses through continuing education programs to various tourism stakeholders in the Philippines. We are currently undergoing efforts to establish a workshop specifically for Local Government Units (LGUs) involved with tourism planning and implementation.
LEARNING MATERIALS AND CASES
The Center seeks to conduct tourism-related case studies for the use of AIM students. These cases are not limited to management issues in the Philippines but also pertinent management issues from ASEAN Member States.
