DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH: SORSOGON'S TOURIST ATTRACTION

The case study narrates the story of the protagonist, Gina Lopez, and the dilemma she faced in helping the community of Sorsogon. Over the last couple of years, Gina had invested a lot of time and resources into developing the local tourism scene. She strongly believed that tourism development could serve as a catalyst to promote inclusive growth. Her main concern was to develop a sustainable tourism plan for the province. Gina must decide what strategy could be used to apply to the community of Sorsogon, keeping in mind her three principles of community-based tourism development.
